It's an "official" source (included in White Dwarf 95), and would add a bit flavour, but the wiki only allows image uploads: could you make case by case exceptions where it's appropriate (there may be some great ones out there from videogames and audio books)?

Probleme:
1. Wir haben zwei getrennte Kategorien-Bäume: [[Kategorie:Hintergrund]] und [[Kategorie:System-Kategorien]].
2. Der Kategorien-Artikel ist unvollständig, teilweise veraltet und durch die Portale teilweise überflüssig geworden.
3. Der Kategorien-Artikel ist eine Mischung aus Inhalt und Hilfe, wobei die Hilfe keiner liest, weil man da bis ganz nach unten scrollen muss. Das sollte man in einen Hilfe-Artikel abtrennen.

Vorschläge:
a) Ich schlage vor, eine [[Kategorie:Lexicanum]] zu erstellen. Dorthinein kommen KEINE Artikel, sondern die Kategorien Hintergrund, System-Kategorien und die weitere neue Kategorie Sonstiges.
In [[Kategorie:Sonstiges]] kommt selbsterstellter Inhalt wie Benutzer-Bilder, MeineArmee und eben die Aprilscherz-Artikel. Ausdrücklich nicht erlaubt sind Inhalte, die eine Erweiterung des WH40k-Hintergrunds darstellen.

I've added the relevant templates from Wikipedia (about 12 in total: should have posted here first though...), so if you now use "{{Italic title}}" at the top of an article, it should make the title (and just the actual title part, not the namespace part or disambiguation term in brackets after it) italic. Check out the Immaterium for an example.

But this isn't important unless there's consensus on the use of italics in titles, so what are your thoughts? Should book titles all have italic titles? How about games? Magazines? Articles? Short stories? In-universe books? And in these cases should their article title be italic as well as their use in articles and sources?

My own opinion is that all book, game and magazine titles would be clearer and more stylish in italics, in title, article and citation. Clarity, consistency and style seem to me the important factors above things like trying to imitate Wikipedia (indeed we've already got a unique article naming system which suits the nature of the wiki, and I suggest we don't stick to WP's style guidelines exactly) or technical matters, but I'm aware that I'm in not in a position to do more than suggest, and in the presence of far more experienced and prolific editors, so I'd like to hear what you all have to say!]]>

Mir ist dabei aufgefallen, dass bereits vorhandene Artikel nicht immer zwischen allgemeinen Informationen und Spielleiter-Informationen trennen. Die 40k-RPGs sind von der Verbreitung auf dem deutschen Markt her wohl inzwischen auf Platz 2, und das Lexicanum ist meines Wissens die wichtigste Enzyklopädie zum Thema 40k. Dass Spieler also versehentlich hier Sachen lesen, die sie eigentlich noch bei Bier und Brezeln am Spieltisch herausfinden wollten, ist nicht gerade unwahrscheinlich.

Ich hatte mich darum an Inquisitor S. gewandt mit dem Vorschlag, standardisierte Spoiler-Warnungen für die RPGs einzuführen, die vor Passagen mit sensiblen Informationen oder auch vor ganze Artikel gesetzt werden können. Er hat auf mehrere Probleme mit dieser Idee hingewiesen, aber auch angeregt, hier im Forum einen entsprechenden Thread aufzumachen, um eine Festlegung zu treffen.

Hier die gegen Spoiler-Warnungen aufgeworfenen Punkte:
* Optik: Fette Spoiler-Tags sehen in einem Online-Lexikon nicht gerade gut aus.
* Einheitlichkeit: Um einen einheitlichen Stand zu wahren, müsste dann auch eine Spoiler-Warnung für Romane her, was größere Anpassungsarbeiten nach sich zieht und wofür der Punkt Optik natürlich genauso gilt.

Meine Ansicht dazu:
* Einheitlichkeit ist ein wichtiger Faktor. Meiner Meinung nach ist die Lage bei Romanen aber einfach eine ganz andere. Wenn man gerade Gaunt's Ghosts liest, dann vermeidet man eben weiträumig Artikel, die dieses Thema betreffen, denn sie enthalten zu diesem Zeitpunkt keinerlei Informationen, die man sich selbst erlauben möchte. Bei den Rollenspielartikeln ist die Sache anders. Hier enthalten die Artikel Informationen, die man als Spieler wissen darf, aber auch ohne Kennzeichnung welche, die man sich besser vorenthält. Die Erfordernisse sind, was das angeht, einfach andere. Ich sehe keine Notwendigkeit, beides gleich zu behandeln, da sich die Probleme zwar grob unter den gemeinsamen Oberbegriff "Spoiler" bringen lassen, aber Ausmaß und Art der Schwierigkeiten ganz unterschiedliche sind.
* Zur Optik: Klar, zu viele Balken fördern nicht gerade das Lesevergnügen (Wobei ich im Lexicanum schon Tags kenne, die ich für schöner als andere halte Smile ).

*The Space Wolves box uses simply troops and special characters - this seems a bit confusing as it lumps Iron Priests in with Bloodclaws (for example).
*The Chaos box is even worse - it tries to include armoury items, Gods and "Products of Chaos " (whatever that is meant to mean).

We need to decide on a standard form to use (I'm quite happy to make all the changes when a form is agreed upon). I personally feel that, whatever layout we choose, Special characters should not be included - this just seems like an attempt to list every entry in the armybooks (and we would then have to list every special character for every edition of each army). Characters already have their own lists and entries as it is.

What is the background-color for standard text of the Lexicanum? I tried all grey-tones but none matched. It's definitely darker than Grey51 and brighter than Grey41.
